Quantity Surveyors - Nuclear - Contract

THE ROLE

My client seeks Quantity Surveyors at all levels to include Intermediate, Senior and Associate level to work on the de-commissioning of nuclear power stations.

These roles are to be undertaken on a contract basis based from offices in London with travel to sites as required.

Our client seeks people at all levels and ideally you will have experience of both pre and post contract work, procurement, etc.

You will deal directly with clients.

THE CLIENT

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants with offices in the UK and abroad.

They work on projects across the U.K. and in Europe.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have a BSc or BSc Hons or a Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar.

Ideally you will be MRICS, MCIOB or similarly qualified.

You should have worked for any of the following:- Construction Consultants, End user client, Multi disciplinary consultants or a main contractor.

You will have a good understanding of projects from inception through to delivery.

You will need to understand projects all the way through from feasibility, cost planning, contracts tendering, procurement, contract administration, final accounts etc.

Previous experience of nuclear or similar engineering projects is preferred.

Ideall you will be fully security cleared i.e. DV, SC, BPSS, CTC although this may be organised for you providing you have been working in the UK and have a British passport.

My client seeks candidates who have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken), who are enthusiastic and dynamic to deal with challenging projects and demanding clients and able to work without supervision as part of a small team.

These are contract roles and rates will be negotiable. This should be long term.
