I am now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a large firm of consultants in Liverpool.
You will need to have around several years or more post graduation experience and ideally be Chartered with the RICS or CIOB membership.
You will need to be able to look after your own projects and be able to mentor other QS's.
You will work closely with an Associate or Director to manage and deliver capital investment projects.
You must have been working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants and have good pre and post contract experience.
Projects are in the public and private sectors and you will run cost management across the whole project life cycle from initial inception through the design and procurement process and through site delivery and commissioning phase.
Our client is a successful large multi disciplinary firm in the construction industry.
You will be a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager with a Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar subjects.
You are likely to be MRICS or MCIOB qualified.
You should have worked on project across the whole project life cycle.
Experience of working on large scale high value buildings is required.
Experience of all quantity surveying duties including all pre and post contract duties including cost estimates, overseeing production of a detailed BOQ for tender, manage the tender process, review and analyse tender returns and recommend to client, input into value and risk management workshops, ensure that the project reamins on budget through the design and construction phases, assess and value progress payments and change requests, review and compare scope of work, production rates and cost data, earned value reports, final accounts etc. etc.
Good communication skills essential.
Salary will be in the region of £55000 to £65000 or more plus pension contribution and RICS fees plus good pension contribution, private health insurance and other benefits.
